adi Automotive Approved Electrician
About the Role
As an Approved Electrician, you will carry out electrical installation of various low voltage wiring and containment systems and testing and inspection of electrical installations in buildings.
Specifically, your key responsibilities will include:
- General Electrical Maintenance and Testing
- General Electrical Installation
- Installation of cables and containment systems
- Termination and Testing of Network Cabling
- Electrical isolation of existing live circuits.
- Maintenance of electrical services and distribution systems.
- Carrying out maintenance plans as scheduled.
- Installation of various low voltage wiring systems.
- Installation of various cable containment systems.
- Issuing of Installation and condition reports.
- Testing & Energisation of systems up to 400V, including new and modified electrical installations.
- Issuing of all associated documents e.g. NICEIC/BSEN60079 style test and inspection reports, planned maintenance records, drawing updates, etc.
About you
We would like to hear from you if you have:
- Experience as an Approved Electrician within an industrial and/or manufacturing environment - Domestic experience will not be considered.
- Experience of electrical installations and testing within a process plant environment.
- Experience of working in the automotive industry would be advantageous.
Qualifications:
- 18th edition (C&G 2382) qualification is essential.
- Electrical Inspection Test certificates (2391, 2394 or 2395) is essential City & Guilds Qualification or NVQ Level 3 (Time served apprenticeship)
- IPAF Mobile Elevating Work Platforms is desirable.
- PASMA Tower certificate of Competence is desirable.
