Job Description
adi Lean Manufacturing and Design Mechanical Fitter
About the Role
As a Mechanical Fitter, you will work with the current engineering team in bespoke machinery build and development. This will include in-house product assembly & modifications, commissioning, product development and site installations.
Specifically, your key responsibilities will include:
- Mechanical aluminium extrusion frame assembly.
- Interpretation of mechanical drawings for constructions of machines.
- Mechanical construction of machinery tools and measuring and validation of assembly.
- Rework of tooling parts, using milling machine, lathes and workshop tools.
- Pneumatics and sensors installation of all machine tools.
- Assembly of robot grippers and installation of robot tooling.
- Assembly and fitting of production machines.
- Commissioning / Development of machines alongside the software / electrical engineer.
- Identifying points of failure on all tooling and machine assemblies.
About you
We would like to hear from you if you have:
- Good time keeping and the ability to self-manage tasks in line with a build program.
- Experience in a similar role within an industrial and/or manufacturing environment.
- Mechanical fitting and assembly experience.
- Understanding of Engineering drawings.
- Experience using of all types of machinery.
- Mechanical assembly work experience.
